How are the teams organized?
1st and 2nd graders are combined to form Bantam teams. 3rd graders
make up the Mini-Tackle teams. 4th, 5th, and 6th graders each play
within their respective grade level. Black, Gold, and White teams
are formed for each of those squad levels, with optional silver and
gray teams added if participant numbers justify. Team colors are
of no significance and do not represent status or ranking in any
way.

How will my child be placed on a team?
The first 2-3 days of practice will be conditioning and evaluations.
The coaches and other support staff will be running the players through
a series of drills in which their results are recorded. Following
the second or third night of practices, the coaches will meet to
select their teams. Coaches will take turns making their player selections
to assure the teams are evenly matched.

What does "protected" mean?
In most situations each coach is allowed to compile a list of 8
to 11 players from the previous year that they wish to retain on
their team for the upcoming season. The child had to play for that
coach the previous year in order to be protected.

Can I request my child to be on a specific team?
No... due to the selection process, specific team requests will
not be accommodated.

How often will my child practice?
Practice schedules are determined by the coach of each team. The
league restricts practice to 2 hours per day/5 day per week
maximum until Labor Day. After the Labor Day holiday, practice is
limited to 2 hours per day/3
nights a week. Practice schedules will vary by grade level and team,
as determined by the coach.

How can I make certain my children will be on
the same color squads for cheer and/or football?
The sibling policy for the team selection process is
that the less veteran sibling(s) will be placed on the same colored
squad as the most veteran sibling. Children from the same family
will be placed accordingly on the football squads and cheerleaders
will always follow. This policy will ensure all members from the
same family will be placed on the same color squads for cheer and
football.
